Maroon 5 have hinted that their Overexposed World Tour would be legendary and they weren’t lying. “This is definitely going to be Maroon 5’s biggest tour,” guitarist James Valentine said. “This is basically the tour we’ve been waiting our entire careers to do.”
Fans gathered to catch a sneak peek of Maroon 5 before they head out on tour in support of their critically-acclaimed album, Overexposed.

Some things are just meant to be kept a secret. At least that’s what Maroon 5′s James Valentine tells us about the origin of the band’s name. While Valentine wouldn’t reveal the details behind the meaning of Maroon 5 he did provide CBS Local with a little back story.
While he admits he had no desire to watch the first season of The Voice, Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine is thankful for his bandmate’s working relationship with Christina Aguilera which led to their collaboration on “Moves Like Jagger.”
Frontman Adam Levine has said the album is “the first time we’ve ever completely embraced the idea of making pop music,” and guitarist James Valentine explained how the band made the jump.
“I have a ritual. On every release day I go and buy a physical copy of the record no matter what,” Valentine said.
