The Wanted Pick Their Favorite Bars For A Pint In New York
New York City and Brooklyn are certainly known for their nightlife — and daylife when you factor in Happy Hour and brunch — and The Wanted have a few watering holes that they like to call their homes away from home.
“I like a bar called ‘The Library,’” says Max George. “It’s really small and the toilets are really horrible.” The size and restroom appearance can be explained simply: The Library is a dive bar — sandwiched between the Lower East Side and Alphabet City on Avenue A between East 1st and 2nd — meaning the drinks are cheap and the jukebox is stellar. The Library also has a projector that plays campy horror films and vintage porn. One of the regulars is also a Boston Terrier wearing a sweater.
Yes, a Boston Terrier sitting at the bar.

The Wanted also travel over the East River to Brooklyn to their favorite bar in the borough, Lake Street. Though their favorite establishment employs one of their friends Eric, it took a moment to jolt the name of the Greenpoint bar back to memory.
“We loved it that much we couldn’t remember the name of it,” jokes Tom Parker about Lake Street, which boasts twelve taps and an array of Midwestern canned and bottled beers.
The Wanted’s third studio album — Word of Mouth — is due for release on September 23, 2013 following the debut of its lead single, “We Own the Night.” The band is also expected to announce touring plans in the near future.
