It’s no secret Asher Monroe has an avid female fan base. Before he visited CBS Local, we reached out to fans on Twitter to ask their burning questions for the singer. Not surprisingly, they wanted to know a lot about his love life. Specifically, his idea of the perfect first date and if he’d ever date a fan.

So, would he ever date a fan?

“I’m never going to say no to anything but I’m also not going to say completely yes. I’m going to be a little bit in the middle. I hope you bear with me,” he said.

Asher expressed that he is in fact open to the idea.

“I think in life, you never know who you’re going to meet. You never know where the connection is going to be,” he said. “Honestly, places you meet people you never know. You just never know in life. I never want to put a limitation on anything. I can’t promise it but I can’t say I would never do it.”

Fair enough. So, if he does meet a fan he wants to date he gave us some insight on where he’d take the lucky lady. Most importantly he said is to plan something fun.

“I think to get to know somebody a little bit better and especially to break the ice I feel like it’s good to do something fun, maybe outdoors,” he said. “I’ve done different things for first dates but I think for me it would be taking her to an amusement park. Find out what she likes. Find out what’s fun to her. It could be going on a boat or going somewhere fun outside, but an activity.”

Asher revealed that he thinks he’s able to get to know somebody well without it getting awkward if he’s doing an activity.

“Judging by how the first part of the date goes, bring a change of outfit and do something nice. Take her out to a nice restaurant and wine and dine her a little bit. I think treating a girl like she’s supposed to be treated, I think that would be a good first date. Judging by how that goes see if there’s a second date.”
