Looking for a way to spice up your next chicken dish? The new Fifty Shades inspired cookbook might have the perfect recipe. But who wrote it?
With Fifty Shades of Chicken, due out November 13, the kitchen gets a little naughty with recipes like mustard spanked chicken, sticky chicken fingers and dripping thighs, which is roasted chicken thighs with sweet and sour onions.
Who’s behind this new cookbook? Reports say it is “an established food industry professional” who is going by the very fitting name of F.L. Fowler, poking a little fun at the real Fifty Shades author, Erika Williams, who goes by the nom de plume, E.L. James.

In an email to People, the anonymous author says that the cookbook, which is about an “overbearing cook and a pigheaded chicken,” in a lot of way isn’t really much different than the trilogy.
“Like so many others, Fifty Shades of Grey resonated for me,” the writer explained. “It evoked something I’d never been able to express. Then one day as I was tying up the ankles of a chicken for roasting, I realized why some of the scenes in the book were so strikingly familiar. It turns out I’ve been practicing BDSM for years – but with poultry.”
As for this author who chooses to keep their identity a secret, we have a few ideas of who it could possibly be.
Ray, who’s made cooking a little easier for those with a busy schedule, has a whole slew of chicken recipes in her book, 30-Minute Meals. While none of these are especially naughty, after her infamous photo shoot for men’s magazine FHM, we know she has a bad side.

The down home cook might be cutting back on butter, but that doesn’t mean she’s lost all her flavor. Maybe as a way to change up her style she decided to show off her naughty side?
For her latest book, Giada at Home, the saucy chef combines modern Californian flair with her authentic Italian style cooking for recipes that are perfect for a night in. With Fifty Shades of Chicken she might just be giving us a kinkier look at her home life.
The Semi-Homemade queen looks prim and proper, but what if underneath it all there’s a vixen waiting to be unleashed? Perhaps, her boyfriend, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, is the new Christian Grey.
When you think sexy you might not think of Mario Batali, but that doesn’t mean the Crocs wearing chef doesn’t have a few racy recipes up his sleeve. Known for his sense of humor, he might be the only guy who could produce a cookbook parody based on a sexy book series that has women swooning.
We’ve shared our guesses, but who do you think it is? Vote below in our poll and tell us who you think wrote this very naughty cookbook.
