The new clip for B.o.B’s latest single “Out of My Mind” more than lives up to the billing. The over-the-top video kicks off with the Atlanta rhyme talent being locked up in a strange mental facility. From there, the man also known as Bobby Ray is put away in a cell, placed in a straightjacket and even pops up in one scene wearing a “Hannibal Lecter” mask.

It’s pretty dark stuff, not exactly what you would expect from the slim, guitar-strumming MC who first came on the scene in 2010 with the mammoth romantic crossover hit “Nothin’ on You,” a track that featured non-threatening crooner Bruno Mars. But the Benny Boom-filmed video from B.o.B.’s Strange Clouds album raises the stakes even more with the inclusion of a certain Young Money superstar.

The omnipresent Nicki Minaj appears as a therapist who tries to help B.o.B. sort out his issues. But suddenly, the rapping leader of the Barbz gang tosses her clinical white jacket and gives the rapper a sexy lap dance. By the end of the clip, B.o.B. escapes his captors.

“Out of My Mind” is just the latest collaboration from B.o.B. Besides the aforementioned “Nothin’ On You,” the eclectic rhymer has appeared on hit tracks and album cuts with rocker Hayley Williams (“Airplanes”); mentor T.I. (“Bet I”); Lil Wayne (“Strange Clouds”); and Chris Brown (“Get Down”).
