Taylor Swift’s Admiration For The Kennedys Goes Beyond July 4 Dating Rumors

Taylor Swift sat with Ellen last fall and vehemently denied having a boyfriend–or even having time for one, for that matter.

However, the GRAMMY winner and current ACM Entertainer of the Year’s love life remains under a microscope. Most recently, US Weekly is among those reporting on her holiday with the Kennedy’s at their Hyannis Port, Massachusetts compound during the Fourth of July.

One 18-year-old eligible bachelor in particular, Patrick Schwarzenegger, apparently caught her eye as they played capture the flag and sat around a bonfire. (Patrick is the son of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger.) In the words of US Weekly’s source, “They are getting to know each other, but she thinks he’s cute!”

She also apparently went sailing with members of the Kennedy clan.

Fans can only speculate that present company have been the reason Patrick later tweeted about his July Fourth holiday:

According to NY Daily News, the admiration between Taylor and the Kennedy family is a two-way street, and this isn’t the first time Taylor has spent time with them.

In photo above, for instance, Taylor sits with filmmaker Rory Kennedy at the Artist at the Table Dinner and Discussion during the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. She was attending the red-carpet premiere of Ethel, an HBO documentary chronicling the life of Ethel Kennedy.

Went to Sundance to see Rory Kennedy’s documentary about her mother, @Ethel_Movie. It was moving, hilarious, and beautiful.

“The only time in my life I have ever been starstruck was meeting Caroline and Ethel Kennedy,” Taylor told Vogue at the time. “I got to spend the afternoon with Ethel a couple of weeks ago. She is one of my favorites, because you look back at the pictures of her and Bobby and they always look like they are having the most fun out of everybody.”

And the admiration is mutual. In a video interview conducted at Sundance, for instance, Ethel herself perked up at the mention of Taylor: “She is amazing!” Rory echoed the sentiment, saying she’s “such a good role model for young girls…as well for all women, really.”
