Millions of obsessed fans, 24 million Twitter followers, the biggest debut album of the year, sold-out tour dates — what else could superstar Justin Bieber want? There is one thing: a pinky ring.

“Big Sean was really cool. Back when I first met him I told him that I really liked…he had a pinky ring,” Bieber told 98.7 AMP/Detroit. “The next time we were at the Today show and after we performed he pulled me aside…and he gave me the ring and it was really nice.”

Good thing Big Sean was willing to share, because Bieber’s favorite book advises against coveting thy neighbor’s possessions. If you didn’t know already, he’s a big fan of the Bible and even has a favorite verse.

“‘Your word is like a lamp for my feet and a light for my path,’” Bieber said, quoting Psalm 119:105. “I read the Bible, it’s like the only thing I read because I don’t really like to read.”

In spite of his piety, Bieber’s latest single “Boyfriend” takes a different turn. The edgy, more urban song is a style he hasn’t been known for.

“I wanted to do something different, something that I knew would change the music right now because I feel like there’s a lot of straight dance music on the radio and this is definitely a more grown-up sound,” Bieber said, indicating you can expect him to skip the EDM/Skrillex/Lady Gaga path in favor of a rhythmic sound. His choice also shows in the cast of musicians who guested on the album.

“[Believe] was a lot of fun to make. Man, I got to work with Big Sean and Drake and Nicki Minaj and Ludacris. It was great, I had a great time. I got to work with Timbaland, Mike Posner and Kanye [West] and Taylor Swift and a lot of people.”
