You Voted: The Sexiest “50 Shades Of Grey” Playlist Track
We asked you which was the sexiest song on the 50 Shades of Grey playlist and your votes gave us a clear winner. Along with some interesting suggestions of songs to add. But the absolute sexiest Grey song, according to you, is…
Kings of Leon’s “Sex on Fire,” with 44% of the vote.
You’re not alone if you voted for this one. 50 Shades of Grey author E.L. James also put the song on her official soundtrack for the book and Cosmo have it on their “12 Hottest Songs to Have Sex To” list.
But back when the song was released, Kings of Leon singer Caleb Followill told NME he thought the song was not so great, initially.
“I just had this melody and I didn’t know what to say. Then one day I just sang ‘this sex is on fire’ and I laughed. I thought it was terrible, but the rest of the band were like, ‘it’s good, it’s got a hook’. I was like ‘f*** off!’ but I ended up writing it,” Followill said.
Your second place 50 Shades of Grey song was Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game,” with 36% of the votes.
The song was released all the way back in 1989 and the original black and white video featured Isaak frolicking on a beach in Hawaii with supermodel Helena Christensen. Even today it makes it onto “Sexiest Music Video Ever” lists all the time.
In addition to the tracks on our playlist, we asked what songs would go on your 50 Shades of Grey playlist. You sent in a wide variety of options and it seems several of you want to get busy to Adam Lambert. You suggested we add his tracks “Poison,” “For Your Entertainment,” and “Chokehold.”
One lone voter, in a head scratching move, suggested we add One Direction. No particular song, just any One Direction.
