Just a few weeks before her baby is due, a very pregnant Jessica Simpson stopped by Tonight Show and the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Still an advocate of high fashion, Simpson walked to her chair in six inch heels, no small feat for a pregnant woman.

“We’re waddling at this point” Simpson told Jay Leno as she sat down.

Happy to see his guest Leno admitted, “I was saying, ‘Gee, the commercial’s running a little long here. Maybe she’s having the baby.’”

Though she still has some time, Simpson said she’s beginning to realize labor will be hard work.

“Labor’s really going to hurt. I have so much respect for my mom and all the women across the world,” she said. “This is a tough thing, here. And I’m wearing six inch heels today. It’s a lot of weight to carry on six inches.”

Simpson added that she was surprised to learn she was pregnant.

“We were going to go to Venice to have a fun party day with our friends,” Simpson said. “And I had this overwhelming guilt. I’m like, ‘Why do I feel guilty about having cocktails with my friends? Maybe I should just pee on a stick.’”

Excited to learn she was pregnant Simpson said her fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson, cried. She later confessed she wants to get married again.

“I want him to be my husband so bad. I do still want to wear the pretty gown and everything,” she said.

Leno then held up Simpson’s revealing cover photo on Elle Magazine where she posed naked while holding her pregnant belly. Like Demi Moore’s iconic Vanity Fair photo 20 years prior, Simpson explained that it’s something she has always wanted to do.

“Through the years I saw the iconic pregnant shot and I wanted to do it. Elle didn’t even ask me if I would want to do it. I just always had the idea in my mind that I would do it,” she said.

Simpson then confessed that she didn’t tell her dad about the shoot. “I don’t think he would have recommended it,” she said. “I don’t even know if I told him. Maybe my publicist did. I just said I wanted to do it and we don’t have to tell anybody about it so everybody is pretty shocked right now.”

She hasn’t talked about her photo shoot with her father and admitted, “He is backstage so this makes for an awkward conversation afterward.”

Later, Simpson visited  the Ellen DeGeneres Show and this time walked down the stairs to her guest chair in eight inch red high heels.

“It’s all for fashion, for the show,” she said.

When DeGeneres asked how many babies she was carrying Simpson said she is pregnant with one girl

“I honestly feel like I’m in a fat suit. There is only one girl, but I did get knocked up by a baller . . . A big football player.”

With a paramedic in the audience ready for a possible delivery, DeGeneres had everything covered.
