Mariah Carey is planning her return to the music scene after taking some time off to focus on her marriage and her two beautiful babies Moroccan and Monroe, with our main man Nick Cannon.

She’s started 2012 off with a Jenny campaign, and she looks fierce!! Then she was awarded with a BET Honor Award. Now she’s ready to hit the radios with a new album!

She’s rejuvenated and ready to start sharing some of the amazing new music she has been making in the studio!

The best part of the creative process for Mariah has been the inspiration of her beautiful family.

Mariah Carey Has a New Album In The Works! It’s time she reclaims her spot as pop’s leading diva!

The songbird was snapped working in the studio in Atlanta recently with longtime collaborator [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jermaine Dupri[/lastfm] (“We Belong Together”). Now that she’s looking great, in a wonderful mind frame, time will tell just how hot her new music will be.

Mariah has always been an innovator of sound. A lot of popular music today, she is a big reason certain styles and sounds are now in the mainstream and considered pop. She has always been ahead of her time whether people recognize it or not. Yes, a collaborative effort of all artists, but she utilized R&B, Hip-Hop, Dance/Club remixes of her songs that artists never did before. Now the sounds of a remix are the sounds of an original song. Mariah – please use your beautiful voice on a trance song!!!!!! I have been longing to hear this, get some sick DJ’s on your track. TIESTO would be nice.

I love too many songs by Mrs. MCC to list here. I usually love her entire album. I would love for her to market her new music to “grown folk” and family…she could even do a lullaby or nursery rhyme album, and I would play it for my baby who loves to dance.:)

I’m glad I’m not the only one DYING to see Mimi on some house/ electro pop. I know she would not only a) murder it but b) inject more depth into the genre than most artists (and I mean that in every sense)

I can’t wait to hear the new music !!!!! I’m a dedicated lamb, I have also been waiting since Memoirs for the follow up Album, I personally loved MOAIA and I am always playing the songs from it, can’t wait !!!!!!!!!! So excited :0 I also love MCIIY her voice sounded the best it has in years on it, so there is hope for 2012
