Drake has some bad news for his loyal fans…
The rapper has revealed (once again!) that he’s delaying his sophomore album, Take Care, until next month. Drake‘s first studio album, Thank Me Later, which also saw it’s own fair share of delays, debuted on top of the Billboard 200 chart and has since gone platinum.
Find out what Drake had to say after the jump…
On his official blog, October’s Very Own, Drake explained the roadblocks he encountered with the album and why he chose to push back the release date:
“So I have completed 19 songs (17 on physical and 2 on bonus), and have run into a roadblock of clearing 3 samples in time to make the October 24th date. My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it. The choice was clear as day for me. November 15th you will get Take Care the exact way I created it with no trimmings.”
So, while this may not be the news most Drake fans were wanting to hear, it seems like the end result will have a net benefit for his supporters.
What do you think of the album delay? Should he have just released it as scheduled? Let us know in the comments section below!
