I am at a loss for words. I have not paid money to see a concert since [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beyonce[/lastfm]‘s I Am Sasha Fierce Tour in Summer 2009. I’m ridiculously selective (well that and I’m gnawin’ on perpetual Po’ Boy Sandwiches) about who I put up money for. I saw the Circus  tour in April 2009, and I thought that was something.

This show to me is, honestly, the must see tour of the summer. I mean… it’s freakin’ [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Britney Spears[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm]!!! I have not had that much fun in a very long time!

Let me recap the night for those who are fools and didn’t go…

I got to the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey at around 7:10, so I was ten minutes late (traffic in NYC is NO JOKE). The opening act, for anyone who cares, was [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Joe Jonas[/lastfm]. See, I can live without that. I got there when he had three songs left in his set. The closer was his current “hit” single, “See No More.”

After about 25 minutes, he FINALLY left the stage. Guys, I am not hating on Joe Jonas… but who really goes to a concert like THIS for the opening act? Better yet, who goes to a concert just to see the opening act? I don’t. BYE JOE! I still hate you for what you did to [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Taylor Swift[/lastfm]! “Forever and Always” is still my JAM.

At around 7:45 was when things really started to get going because NICKI MINAJ WAS ABOUT TO PERFORM!!! It started out being very theatrical, which was a theme of the night. After her dramatic intro, she came out and started rapping “I AM NOT JASMINE, I AM ALADDIN, SO FAR AHEAD THESE BUMS IS LAGGIN’!”

If you claim to know me, you will know that “Roman’s Revenge” is my FAVORITE song to rap to at a party. The girls around me and in front of me at first were givin’ me some MEAN side eye. I was like “GURL, you better turn around ’cause I ain’t stoppin’!” Like, I was goin’ honey-glazed H.A.M. during that song. When I pay money to go to a concert, it means that I know all of the words to every single song and I am about to go NUTS that night. This was true because every Nicki song she rapped, I was right there with her. She did a lot of my favorites including “Monster” (which had included a monster on stage), “Moment 4 Life,” “My Chick Bad,” “BedRock,” and another BIG party song “Bottoms Up.” I cannot even begin to tell you how many parties I’ve been to and that song will come on, I will stop what I’m doing and break into “CAN I GET THAT ‘TRON, CAN I GET THAT REMY, CAN I GET THAT COKE, CAN I GET THAT HENNY?” and just rap that whole verse.

A favorite part of the show, for me is when she sang “Save Me” because it showed that homegirl can actually SING! SHE IS SO GOOD! However, when “Where Dem Girls At?” came on, I was losin’ my mind (I mean, I wasn’t really there mentally to begin with, but this sent me to another place). Thankfully, or not so thankfully (you decide), the girls stayed in her costume. No repeats of what happened earlier that day in NYC at Good Morning America, here folks!

The end of her set started with her receiving a phone call… it was from BRITNEY!!!! She had told Nicki that she needs to end her set with her favorite song “Super Bass!” Nicki was a great listener because she SLAYED that song. WOW. She was amazing. If you weren’t a fan before… you’ll be stupid not to be one now. The thought of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Enrique Iglesias[/lastfm] being on this tour just doesn’t make sense now. He wouldn’t have packed the house like Miss Barbie over here.

I don’t hate on Enrique though… “Bailamos” is a CLASSIC!

*30 minute intermission. Time for a hot dog, sprite, and some chips!*

This is what we have all been waiting for. Intermission ends, I’m done eating, and it just takes three words to get the crowd off of their feet and screaming uproariously: “IT’S BRITNEY, B!#*H!”

Who else can do that?! I can’t think of anyone. The plot starts as Britney escapes prison and is being chased by the police. Later, it is revealed that she is a secret agent and this detective is trying to get her. As he does this, he talks about Femme Fatales through the ages and blah blah blah…

OK that’s cool and everything, but I’m just here for Britney.

The show kicks off with her number one hit “Hold It Against Me” and all of the adults that were sitting during Nicki’s set are all standing and singing “HEY. OVA THERE. PLEASE LOOK AT ME!” with all of us youngins. The performance is reminiscent of her appearance on Good Morning America back in March, as she sits in a metallic chair and just WORKS IT like the rent was past due.

We then go into MY NEW FAVORITE SONG FROM FEMME FATALE,Up N’ Down.” This song was playing on my iPod nonstop leading up to Friday night. I REALLY want her to do a video to this song. A true club banger. Some of these “diehards” around me were mum quiet because they didn’t know the words. I am a loud person so when MY SONG comes on, I will be belting it out in GRAMMY winning fashion. This I did. Might I mention, she looked “fire hot, a twenty out of ten” in her white catsuit?

She then performs two other fan favorites, “3″ and “Piece of Me.” During the latter, she performs in the sky on this contraption that hoists her above the audience, sending them into a frenzy. We now go into a costume change, and as soon as we see the speakers… we know that “BIG FAT BASS” is about to come on. THAT SONG IS MY JAM! *sings* IT’S GETTIN’ BIGGAH, THA BASS IS GETTIN’ BIGGAH!

Britney chats us up for a few, and then says “This is ‘How I Roll’” and a car is brought on stage and she performs. After this, she brings up one REALLY LUCKY fan for the lap dance dipped in “Lace and Leather” complete with a pink feather boa. She changes into her Marilyn Monroe-esque outfit, and twirls her skirt in the wind while singing “If You Seek Amy.”

I could go song for song, because it was just so amazing… BUT that is just giving EVERYTHING away. I will say this… “GIMME MORE” was one of the highlights of the show! Her entrance, THE BOAT, and let’s not forget how the song starts… “It’s Britney, B!#*h!”

*Cue Audience SCREAMS*

Towards the end of the show, people were getting a little exhausted because Nicki just shut it down and Britney was just GIVING IT to us and I was outta damn breath! So much so, that I sat briefly during “Boys.” However, when  ”Baby One More Time” came on I had a flashback to 1999 and relived my childhood and obviously I had to get up and belt out the words with extreme passion. “I Wanna Go” was the show stopper though. I easily was dancing the most during that song. Not just me though. GROWN ADULTS were right there with us clapping and singin’ along! The roar from the crowd was absolutely epic during that entire song.

OMG, I haven’t SWEATED like that in a while!

She closed the show with two of her best songs: her GRAMMY-winning “Toxic” (which saw her rocking a kimono) and “Till The World Ends.” The entire time TTWE was on, I was wondering, “Will Nicki come out for the remix?” She does not always perform the remix with Britney, and after Kanye came to Long Island this past week, I was hoping something special would happen in New Jersey.

That it did, as Nicki came out in an all black ensemble and a bright yellow wig talkin’ about “CHIMPANZEES IS HATIN’ BUT I’LL TAKE IT OUT IN STRIDE!” If I didn’t die already, I definitely died then. AMAZING. Britney sings the last chorus of “Till The World Ends” flying over the audience one more time with angel wings attached! The smoke rises and confetti is blasted into the audience and the show is over.

BEST CONCERT EVER! SUCH AN AMAZING SHOW.  Britney and Nicki is such a more dynamic lineup than Britney/Enrique or even Britney/Pussycat Dolls during the Circus era.  Britney has had some hot mess years, but this concert definitely showed that she is STILL the Queen of Pop.
