He may have been a fan favorite when the “trouty-mouthed” hunk who was affectionately referred to as Lady Lips joined the cast of the second season of Glee, but according to reports on Friday , Chord Overstreet is out for the third season of the hit show.

Overstreet took to Twitter with what appeared to be his somewhat disguised reaction to the news:

Fans of Overstreet didn’t take the news lightly, and took to iTunes with downloads of Overstreet’s Glee version of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Travie McCoy[/lastfm]‘s Billionaire to show their support.

But fans of Darren Criss can rejoice.  It was noted that he, along with dancer Harry Shum Jr., would be back as full time series regulars when the show returns for its third season on September 20th.
