Is Justin Bieber Becoming a Great Big “Fail?”

To be fair, 9-year-olds don’t usually have a budget/interest in buying “Vanity Fair” magazine. Maybe that’s why this month’s issue, which featured[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Justin Bieber[/lastfm] on the cover, is the worst selling issue for the magazine in 12 years.

Ouch. Kind of embarrassing, especially since the Bieb article asks its readers, “Is this the adorable, inescapable face of 2011?”

Maybe Justin’s only the face of 2010? Maybe the lil’ scamp peaked early?

So ok ok ok, maybe “Vanity Fair” isn’t piled in stacks in the fluffy, pink rooms of American pre-teens. But Justin Bieber’s appearance on the cover of “Teen Vogue” and “People” also caused a drop in sales, 12% and 25% respectively, and those publications are a little more Bieber-fever friendly.

Justin! I thought you could do no wrong! You’re so popular on Twitter! But then Lil Wayne rejected your collaboration request!! WHAT IS HAPPENING??

Then again, Bieber is known for his incompetent “Fail” moments. There was the time when he won a title at the Country Music Television (CMT) Awards… but thanked the CMAs. Plus he’s been known to walk into a wall or two!
