It seems like Lil Wayne is taking a page out of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dr. Dre[/lastfm]‘s book of delaying albums as he once again has pushed back the release of his latest album. Tha Carter IV is now due out August 29th but will it be worth the wait?
[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lil Wayne[/lastfm]‘s publicist confirmed the delay to MTV News yesterday without citing a specific reason just the new date. Weezy had told MTV earlier in April that the project was complete, “It can come out tomorrow ’cause I’m so finished,” but yet again still no album. Weezy has kept himself busy with his latest song release How To Love once again tapping into his sensitive side.

Lil Wayne has recently collaborated with the likes of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kelly Rowland[/lastfm],[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jennifer Lopez [/lastfm]and the Queen of Hip Hop Soul [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Mary J. Blige [/lastfm]. Blige and Weezy hooked up for the hit track Someone To Love recently performing it live at the 2011 Bilboard Music Awards.

At least Weezy hasn’t slowed down with the music but can he stop the delays and finally get us the album we’ve been waiting so patiently for?
