The other day I was on the train and overheard some dork in a suit talking to his boy. They were discussing the upcoming weekend, these guys plan on going out and getting crraaazzyyyy! The dude turned to his friend and actually said “We’re gonna party like a rock- Party like a rockstar!” My first thought was to punch this dude in the head but I thought that might be a little over the top. It always annoys the hell outta me when a commercial rap song comes out and it gets taken over by old white people and years later guys like this tool quote the songs to sound hip.

When this song came out I was a sophomore in high school and I remember listening to it over and over and over again. I was a big fan of Fifty from his mixtapes before he blew up, so of course I was excited to hear him with Dr. Dre & Eminem but then all of a sudden I saw that my mom was walking around singing “Go shawty it’s your birthday.” I stopped listening to that song after that. Mr. Jackson you’ve earned this #10 spot with your catchy ass song.
