It seems like only last year that the cast of MTV‘s Jersey Shore was refusing to renew their contract with the network without the promise of more moolah. Oh wait, that was last year.

Hey, if it worked once, why not try it again, right?

That seems to be the financial planning strategy for those fist pumping favorites. The cast is again refusing to sign a renewal contract with MTV, unless the powers that be fork over a whole lot more money.

You know, more money for this…

Rumor has it that this will be the last year of the show, and with no real marketable skills, or educations to speak of, the cast is aiming to cash in while they still can. Spray tan is expensive!

Another point of contention between the cast and producers is that MTV has asked that they limit the amount of personal appearances they make. Snooki can make up to $40,000 just by attending a party. $40,000 dollars. For Snooki.

The cast isn’t so keen to give up that kind of money, while MTV is trying to reign in their brand.

The next season is scheduled to start shooting in Italy in the next couple of months. Those poor Italians have no idea what’s about to happen to them.
