It has just been announced that Katy Perry will perform her amazing new summer song featuring Snoop Dogg, “California Gurls”, live for the first time at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Hopefully Snoop will make an appearance too! I bet he will!

This comes on top of the already awesome news that Christina Aguilera will perform at the June 6th show as well.

Meanwhile, MTV has revealed a ton of new presenters for the awards show including Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Anna Kendrick and many others.

Check out the 2010 MTV Movie Awards when they air live from Universal City, CA on Sunday, June 6th at 9PM Eastern.

Here’s what Katy said about getting to perform on the awards show:
“I’m proud to represent the West Coast at the MTV Movie Awards in the magical glow of the Hollywood sign with my new single ‘California Gurls.’ I hope it will be the theme song to a lot of summer loving, I know it will in my house!”
