Parks and Recreation and Human Giant funnyman Aziz Ansari has been announced as the host of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. This will be Aziz’s first time hosting the show, and it’s set to air live on Sunday, June 6th at 9PM Eastern on MTV.

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards will broadcast from Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA and feature categories like “Best Kiss,” “Best Villain,” “Best Action Sequence” and more.

Here’s a statement from Aziz on hosting the show:
“I’m so happy Ronnie from Jersey Shore was unavailable and this exciting opportunity was able to come my way.”
