According the Mariah Daily Journal, Mariah Carey has already lined up the first single off her upcoming Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel remix album. Fans should expect the first offering to be a song titled “Angel’s Cry”, featuring her label mate Ne-Yo.

Mariah is scheduled to shoot the music video for the “Angels Cry” remix on Thursday, December 17th at an undisclosed location in L.A. It will be directed by 92.3 NOW‘s Nick Cannon who previously helmed E=MC²‘s “I Stay In Love” and The-Dream and Mariah’s “My Love”.

The track is scheduled to hit radio on January 4th and you know we’ll be jamming to it!

In Other Ne-Yo News…

The singer recently spoke with MTV News and gave us some more information about the latest film projects he’s currently shooting. The “Closer” singer has landed two challenging roles that will be much different than his previous efforts.

“The last film that anybody ever saw me in was Stomp The Yard which did very, very well and I told myself if I’m going to be an actor I want to be an actor, meaning you can’t just limit yourself to one genre of film. Stomp The Yard, as cool as it was, was very, very similar to what I do already, I am a dancer/singer by profession so I needed to step out of me and really showed off whether or not I could really act. So we got Red Tails which will be out next year, I play a fighter pilot in that one in the 1940′s. It’s about the Tuskegee Airmen. And then we got Battle L.A. where I play a modern day marine and we’re going to see if I have any chops. I don’t know, I’ll let you all be the judge, how about that?”

Battle: Los Angeles hits the big screen on February 18th, 2011 while Red Tails will open early next year.
