Is Facebook Rotting Your Brain?

Facebooking hands are Facebooking...

One would think that researchers spend their days trying to solve the great mysteries of humanity, but apparently they’re just as obsessed with Facebook as the rest of us.  In a clinical way of course…

Researchers at Ohio State University monitored 219 students, a group comprised of those that do use the social networking site and those that don’t.  Those that do use Facebook copped to only studying for about an hour, those that don’t averaged around 11 hours of study time.

And that’s not just talk.  The students that didn’t log on had significantly higher averages: half to a full point higher on a 4 point scale.

Of course these are students. Those of you that are out and about in the real world with real jobs, feel free to Facebook away. I mean it’s fair to say that our brains are already sufficiently rotted.

OK… NOW the brains are rotten.
